Our Twyford Playgroup Values

The Twyford Playgroup values underpin everything we do at Twyford Playgroup. Our children, our families, our committee and our staff team work together to create our values in line with the British Values headings. Everyone who comes to our Playgroup is expected to support the Twyford Playgroup Values.

Democracy – We have a voice
Individual Liberty – We have a choice
Rule of law – We share and take turns
Respect – We show respect to everyone and everything

Our values underpin everything we do: we all refer to them, we encourage our children to support each other, having a range of ages in the setting at one time lends itself beautifully to this, we encourage and support them to independently problem solve, regulate and manage their behaviour; our children know they will be listened to and their words and ideas are all valued.

We would like our children to celebrate how wonderfully unique they are, and to value the community they live in. We celebrate our differences and talents and support our children to develop ambitious goals and have high aspirations for the future.

At Twyford Playgroup we value the significance of meaningful relationships, starting as soon as our children and their families begin their learning journey with us. We encourage collaborative learning experiences, our children learn from one another, developing and expanding their knowledge based on each other’s ideas and plans.
